In the previous post, I listed temporary file locations that can be cleaned up in Windows 11. If you noticed in the “Disk Cleanup Recommendation” section, there’s an option to review a list of installed applications along with the space they occupy.
What surprised me was the size of WhatsApp Desktop; it surpasses even the size of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. This is because I always have Auto Download File enabled in WhatsApp.
The file location used by WhatsApp is a bit intricate to locate. You can find these files here: C:\Users\<users>\AppData\Local\Packages\5319275A.WhatsAppDesktop_cv1g1gvanyjgm\LocalState\shared\transfers
You can take action by deleting all the files in that folder to reclaim your lost storage.

Dan apa yang saya dapati sangatlah mengejutkan. Whatsapp Desktop saya menggunakan size yang sangat besar, melebihi size Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio… Ini kerana saya sentiasa menaktifkan Auto Download File di whatsapp…

Lokasi fail yang dimuat turun oleh Whatsapp Desktop sedikit rumit untuk di jumpai. Anda boleh menemui fail-fail tersebut di sini. C:\Users\<users>\AppData\Local\Packages\5319275A.WhatsAppDesktop_cv1g1gvanyjgm\LocalState\shared\transfers
Anda boleh mengambil tindakan dengan memadam semua file dalam folder tersebut dan mendapatkan kembali storage anda yang hilang.
